Hi ____________________,
I am concerned about the growing number of people who are homeless in Vancouver. For example, on March 11, 2008 there were a total of 1,576 homeless people. Like so many other people, I would like to be able to do something to help them get a home … everyone needs a place to call home. So, I am asking everyone I know to go to the website, endhomelessnessnow.ca/ to learn more about homelessness and what can be done about it.
Could you help me spread the word? Just copy this email (or write your own) and send it to your friends and colleagues … maybe they would like to spread the word as well.
By the way, ask them to sign up for the End Homelessness NOW newsletter ay endhomelessnessnow.ca/ to keep up to date on homelessness in Vancouver.
You may also want to write to your counsellor, MLA and MP demanding that they provide necessary funding for more affordable housing. Write your own letter or copy the letters posted on endhomelessnessnow.ca. Go to ‘how you can help, scroll to ‘write to politicians’ and download the letters you want to send. Copy and paste them into an email and send them to the municipal, provincial and federal government officials.
Thank you so much.
