Homeless Facts

In the 2008 Homeless Count there were AT LEAST 3,062 people homeless in Metro Vancouver.

Since 2002,there has been a shocking 137% increase in overall homelessness and a 373% increase in the number of people sleeping outside. /.

Streetohome Welcomes New CEO

Streetohome Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of Dick Vollet as its new CEO. Dick brings with him a wealth of experience,most recently from VANOC,where he held the positions of Vice President of Mountain Operations,and Vice President of Workforce.

Dick has a strong background in both the private and charitable sectors,through a number of senior positions with the HY Louie Group of Companies (including London Drugs and Sonora Resort),as Chair of the BC Children’s Hospital Miracle Weekend,and as a member of the Board of Advisors to Ronald McDonald House. His background and experience will bring strong leadership to Streetohome Foundation for our capital campaign,strategic planning and ongoing operations.

Please join us in welcoming him to the organization. As he still has outstanding commitments to VANOC,Dick will be with us on a part-time basis until September 2010.
