Vote and help save our Cart and Belonging Storage Facility for the Homeless! First United entered a contest to win a $25,000 grant from Pepsi to help fund this facility. It is now time to vote and we need your help to save this essential service in our community. Funding runs out in October. We need EVERYBODY’S help! Please send this email to your family and friends.
Goals of the project are to:
- Provide homeless people in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside a safe place to store their belongings
- Foster self-respect and dignity in people who are homeless
- Provide jobs for people from Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside community
- Build relationships and trust within this community

- Then go to http://www.refresheverything.ca/firstunitedchurch (check the short video about the project)
- Click on the “Vote for this idea” button.
